Wien Casino Dress Code
The things you’re probably thinking of when spending a day or free evening in Vienna is mentioned are excellent cultural and musical events, museums for both classic and modern art, coffee houses, and maybe some Schnitzel for dinner. What you probably don’t have on your radar are Vienna’s casinos.
Here at Casino Wien, we go with the times and are aware of current trends, therefore we have adjusted our dress code accordingly. However, as dining and playing in stylish attire makes the whole experience more elegant, we ask out guests visiting the casino on the upper floors to wear appropriate clothing, which is not too casual, especially on. The Jackpot Casino on the ground floor, which offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art slot machines, and has no dress code; the Casino on the upper floors, which offers slots, several types of roulette, four versions of black jack, Macau Baccarat, as well as a full poker room, and has a smart dress code (click here for details).
The gambling tradition in the city sure isn’t anywhere near as elaborate as in glittery Las Vegas. But what the city lacks in quantity it makes up for with quality, renown, and beauty. So, without further ado, here are the two casinos in Vienna that are well worth a visit – and not just for a game or poker or roulette:
Casino Wien
The Casino Wien is located in the beautiful Palais Esterhazy on Kärtnerstraße, and is part of the Casinos Austria holding. It is the largest and most traditional casino in Vienna, and is a favourite for enjoying a spectacular dinner or perfect drink as well.

- the Casino on the upper floors, which offers slots, several types of roulette, four versions of black jack, Macau Baccarat, as well as a full poker room, and has a smart dress code (click here for details)

Concord Card Casino
Located in the district Simmering, the Concord Card Casino is (as you could have guessed from its name) a dedicated poker place with a longstanding and prestigious history.
The Concord Group itself has been founded in 1993 at the very same location the CCC Simmering still operates on. It has since gone on to become Europe’s largest and best-known live poker company.
Big (and small) tournaments are held regularly at the venue in Simmering, and it is not uncommon to find oneself sitting next to a big player of the poker scene, Austrian celebrities or international stars (Ashton Kutcher and Demi More have dropped by in the past, really!) when playing there.
The CCC is open for players 24/7 and offers any poker type and limit that finds enough interested players. It does not require a particular dress code (neat casual is perfectly fine), and you might already be aware of one of its employees: CCC Simmering’s long-time dealer and floorman Andreas Daniel plays the part of the dealer in James Bond: Casino Royale.

The Casino Vienna is located at Palais Esterhàzy, on the famous Kärntner Strasse in Vienna. Still owned by the family of princes today, Esterhàzy Palace likely originated in the early 15th century. In 1968 the building burned almost completely. Only a few bits of its former Empire-style features still remain. Today the majority of the rooms are adorned with contemporary artworks. The works of artists of various styles are integrated in the interior of the casino. A particular highlight of Casino Vienna is the Fuchs Room designed by painter Ernst Fuchs and his two sons.
