Located across the street from Empire City Yonkers Raceway & Casino, Louie & Johnnie’s is a casual family restaurant with a beautiful granite martini bar, cozy stylish and comfortable dining room. The atmosphere is warm and inviting complimented by soft background music. They serve traditional regional Italian cuisine including chicken, veal, pasta, steaks, chops and seafood. They also offer a wide selection of hot and cold appetizers, soups, side orders, fine wines and a delicious dessert menu with a variety of homemade desserts and coffee choices. Seasonal al fresco dining and specials are available daily. Kids menu, on- and off-site catering, take-out, delivery and online ordering are also offered.
Established in 1899. Yonkers Raceway was founded in 1899, as the Empire City Trotting Club. From 1907 through 1943, thoroughbreds replaced harness racing. Seabiscuit was one of the many famous thoroughbreds that graced this track. The Rooney Family acquired Yonkers Raceway in 1972 and has maintained live harness racing for over 35 years. Yonkers Raceway & Empire City Casino, founded in 1899 as the Empire City Race Track, is a one-half-mile standardbred harness racing dirt track and slots racino located at the intersection of Central Park Avenue and Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers, New York, near the New York City border. It is owned by MGM Growth Properties and operated by MGM Resorts International.

After many years in the restaurant business as a chef in the Bronx, owner John Greco has developed a love and drive in preparing great quality dining for the community. With hard work and dedication he became a restaurateur here in Yonkers. John has had the pleasure of establishing a number of successful dining businesses, including Louie & Johnnie’s Ristorante Primavera in 1996. “It is a strong belief of mine that providing a comfortable and friendly atmosphere mixed with the finest ingredients provides a dining experience that my family and I feel our customers deserve.” says John, “Observing the dedication and satisfaction of my recent and appreciated customers motivates me to expand my opportunity to serve and please more diners.”
